From the Amazon Grind to the Joy of Creation

For years, my life was defined by the relentless pace of Amazon FBA managing a large warehouse 7 days a week. We were making money, but we had no time to live. I realized that the creative process — the “creation of lived values” — was more important than just moving boxes. After a sudden platform ban threatened our livelihood, I took control. I bought a laser, moved to the historic Clay Factory at Redlake Trading Estate in Ivybridge, Devon, and Moon Groves was born.

Who We Are

I lead this project as a South African ex-Platoon Sergeant, bringing military discipline and years of design expertise to every project. Based at the foot of Dartmoor in Ivybridge, we are part of a vibrant family of artisans and makers. Moon Groves isn’t just a shop — it’s a brand built on mindfulness, named in honour of my very best friend.

What We Do

We use a professional 150W CO₂ laser to design, cut, engrave, and etch. We work with everything from hardwoods and exotic timbers to metal, slate, glass, and leather.
